Every year the Texas 4-H Youth Development Program participates in a statewide community service project called One Day 4-H. On this one day throughout the state 4-Hers everywhere get together and perform all types of community service projects in their community. For the first time, this year each of the 254 counties in the state had the opportunity to participate in the same project together. This year One Day 4-H honored the Texas A&M Forest Service for 100 years of serving Texas. The Texas A&M Forest Service donated a 6 foot tree to every 4-H club throughout the state that wanted to participate. Bosque County 4-Hers planted a tree just north of the flag poles at the corner of Hwy 6 and Hwy 22.
