Exciting 4-H Projects Beginning

The 2019-2020 4-H Year is off and running this September and so are a number of Family and Community Health 4-H projects. Consumer Decision Making, Fashion & Interior Design, Food Challenge/Food Show (Food and Nutrition), and Photography will begin soon and stretch into the spring! The youth are our future.  Everyone has heard or made that statement before.  Well, now is the time to invest in our future!  The youth of Bosque County 4-H continue moving forward to the next steps in their lives. Those steps may be high school, college, technical school or the work force.  The 4-H continues preparing youth not only to be productive members of society but confident leaders throughout their lives. 4-H Halloween Hustle 5K

It is always a good idea to plan ahead.  So we’d like to let you know about a new event we have coming up to give you an opportunity to sign up early! Saturday, October 27 Bosque County 4-H will host the 1st Annual Halloween Hustle 5K Fun Run/Walk. Texas 4-H Roundup

Texas 4-H Roundup is the pinnacle event for all of Texas 4-H, with more than 4,000 participants competing in approximately 50 diverse competitions throughout the week-long event. The majority of the events require each individual or team to qualify at the county and district level before progressing to State Roundup. 19th Annual Lucky Clover Golf Tournament – 4-H Fundraiser

Attention all golfers and 4-H supporters!  The Lucky Clover Golf Tournament is coming up on Saturday, June 17th.  This tournament is the annual fundraiser for Bosque County 4-H, and it allows us to send our 4-H youth to leadership camps, state qualifying contests, and State 4-H Congress.  The funds raised at the golf tournament also allow Bosque County 4-H to award scholarships to graduating seniors.  “Welcome to the Real World!”

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Bosque County is offering the “Welcome to the Real World!” program. Clover Kids

One of the goals in 4-H is to provide opportunities in which a variety of people can get involved.  There are many youth participants in 4-H, as well as adult volunteers and Clover Kids.  Bosque County started a Clover Kids program in 2016, and we are so excited about the participation thus far.  Clover Kids is for youngsters who are in Kindergarten – 2nd grade and want to be involved in 4-H as they grow.  This is the perfect stepping stone for learning, finding interests and developing leadership… Read More →
