Houston Livestock Show Results

Bosque County 4-Hers had a great 2015 Houston Livestock Show.  Madysin and McKenzie Hicks were the first to compete with their swine.  This was the first major show competition for both of these young ladies.  They put in a lot of time and effort into the swine they raised, and their showmanship in the ring was outstanding, but they did not make it to the sale ring.  Next to compete was Maggie Chaffin and her heifer Shania, excelling and earning the first place trophy for their class.  Maggie entered the ring once more, this time with her steer, and again walked away carrying a first place trophy with her steer heading for the sale ring.  Dacey Dietiker also competed with her steer and did an excellent job.  Unfortunately, Dacey missed the sale ring by only three places.  Case Koehler was also at Houston with his steer.  Case showed his steer and smiled big as he earned a 4th place finish in his class and a trip to the sale ring.  The final Bosque 4-Her to enter the show ring at Houston was Mason Brandenburger with his steer.  Mason worked hard and did a very good job in the ring, but came up short of the placing he needed to make it to the sale ring. Congratulations to all of our 4-H participants who competed at the Houston Livestock Show!
