4-H Offers a Variety of Projects

You have joined 4-H, now what?  4-Hers thrive on being involved in different projects, and you do not have to limit yourself to just one.  I always recommend taking time to really think about what your interests are, it’s great to try new things, but if you aren’t interested in a particular project it is okay to pass it over and find something else that grabs your attention.  There are many different projects that are offered within Bosque County ranging from Ag ID to Vet Science and with popular activities including Clothing/Textiles, Cooking, Rifle and Archery.  Many of our current 4-Hers are involved with our Livestock project as well as Junior Master Gardeners.  Within these projects, most of the kids are preparing for contests that will help teach responsibility, build their character, sharpen leadership skills, and provide a knowledge base that can be passed on.

We are always looking to add new projects, however to do this, we need volunteers to help.  Most of the projects that we currently have are run by volunteers that either have or had kids involved in 4-H or have a passion for a particular project and want to share their knowledge with the youth!  If this is something that you would like more information about please contact the Extension Office at 254.435.2331, we would love to visit with you about how you can get involved!  You can also click HERE to read more in depth about current projects!
