With the return of hot June summer temperatures, it did not take long for the crops and forages to start showing their moisture stress.  Even though we had nice rain in late May and early June, the deep moisture is not present to sustain the crops as needed.  Many of the livestock producers in the northern half of the county are concerned about the water levels in their farm ponds.  Many farm ponds are nearing record low levels associated with prior record drought conditions.  Low levels this early in June are cause for concern.  Most farm ponds may be empty before the fall rains arrive. Please continue to pray for rain.
