Prescribed Burn Manger License

ATTENTION: This Prescribed Burn Manager course is cancelled.

Earl Royal stopped by the office the other day and in our conversations the absence of January rainfall was thoroughly examined.  That last rain in December was only a tenth of an inch, but it felt as wet and sloppy as a one inch rain.  Now one month later we need some moisture.  Not that we are really hurting but it sure would be nice to have.  In other articles I have talked about watering your lawn in the winter when it gets dry.  With that in mind, now would be the perfect time to put out 1 inch of water on your home lawn and fruit trees.

February 17 is the registration deadline for our Master Burn School, which is slated for March 4, 5 and 6.  Participants in the course can be certified by the Texas Department of Agriculture as Prescribed Burn Managers.  For more information contact the Bosque County Extension office at 254-435-2331.  Preregistration and partial payment is required for participation in this class.
