Summer Fun Days are just around the corner! The Bosque County Extension Office is hosting Summer Fun Days every Tuesday in July from 8am-12pm. The theme for this year is “Hello, Bosque County!” and each day will focus on an interesting place or activity in Bosque County with fun, hands-on experiences.
July 7: Double B Foods. Spend a morning in the research and development kitchen at Double B Foods to learn how new recipes are created. The kids will get to create their own food product and learn about food safety.
July 14: Texas Safari. Join us on a tour at Texas Safari in Clifton to learn about the wildlife animals and how to care for them.
July 21: Geocaching in Bosque County. Go on a treasure hunt using GPS! We will stop at interesting historical sites in Bosque County as we go on a geocaching hunt!
July 28: Outdoor Challenge at Meridian State Park. Brush up on your outdoor skills with kayaking, animal tracking, and other fun adventures. Outdoor Challenge is a fun 4-H competition to see which team has the best outdoor skills.
Register your child at http://bosque.agrilife.org/summer-fun-days/ or call the Extension Office at 254-435-2331. The registration cost is $15 for all four days. Registration is limited to the first 20 students on a first-come basis until July 2.
