Bosque County 4-Hers had a great 2015 Houston Livestock Show. Madysin and McKenzie Hicks were the first to compete with their swine. This was the first major show competition for both of these young ladies. They put in a lot of time and effort into the swine they raised, and their showmanship in the ring was outstanding, but they did not make it to the sale ring. Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in McLennan County, will be hosting a Private Applicators Pesticide training on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Extension office, 420 North 6th Street in Waco, Texas. Congratulations to Maggie Chaffin and her heifer Shania for taking 1st place in their class at the Houston Livestock Show! This placement just goes to show the hard work and dedication Maggie has put out this year. The Bosque County 4-H Range Evaluation Team participated at the Hackamore Ranch Contest on Saturday, March 14. The team took 3rd place overall with the members individually placing: Matthew Murphy 11th, McKenzie Kreztmeier 9th, Emily Murphy 7th and Benjamin Murphy 6th.

The Central Texas Youth Fair is happening all this week, March 3-7. Please come and show your support to the youth of Bosque County by cheering them on at their events.
