2017 New & Small Acreage Landowner Series

Coming to Bosque County in November, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension of Bosque County will be hosting a two part series this November for New & Small Acreage Landowners.  Registration will start for each session at 8:15am with program to follow at 8:30am and should conclude by noon.

Topics to be discussed at the first session will include:  Water Well Registration & What You Need to Know, a live Water Erosion Demonstration and a talk on Groundwater Flow and Aquifers. This day’s speakers will include Stephanie Keith from the Middle Trinity Water Development Board.  The first session will be held at the Meridian Civic Center in Meridian, Texas.  One General and One Drift CEU will be offered for individuals holding a Private Applicator’s Pesticide License during the first session on November 3, 2017.

The second session will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Clifton Fairgrounds in Clifton, Texas.  The topics at this session will include:  Wildlife Exemption or Agriculture Exemption and recent changes to the Bosque County Exemptions, by Marilee Greenwood, Chief Appraiser for the Bosque County Central Appraisal District; Selection, Installation & Maintenance of:  Water Trough, Floats, Fencing Options, Hanging Gates, Livestock Feeders by Stephen and Scott Conrad, and Sherry Schulze from Clifton Feed & Service Center; Selecting the Right Size Tractor for Your Operation and Tractor 101, by Chris Humphries from Brazos Valley Equipment. One General and One Drift CEU will be offered for individuals holding a Private Applicator’s Pesticide License during the first session on November 17, 2017.
