Cross Timbers Brush Management Symposium

The Cross Timbers Brush Management Symposium will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016. This multi-county event is supported by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Offices in Bosque, Erath, Somervell, Hamilton, Comanche, Eastland and Palo Pinto Counties. This program is designed to bring the latest information in the science and practices of brush management on rangelands to the Cross Timbers area. Presentations will include: Rangeland Herbicides-Where We Go In The Future; Changing Dietary Habits of Livestock to Improve Use of Unwanted Plants; Brush Management Economics; Brush Management with Fire & Keeping Wildfire in Mind; Dow AgroSciences Brush Management in Texas; Weed & Brush Management from Bayer Crop Sciences.  A trade show will also be a part of the program.

 

This program will be held at the Stephenville City Hall, located at 1907 E Washington Street. Program registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.  The program will begin with introductions at 9:00 a.m.  Registration is $40.00 per person and includes lunch. In addition to the benefits of a catered lunch and on-site commercial vendors, each participant with a Texas Department of Agriculture- Pesticide Applicators License will be eligible for 3 hours of Continuing Education Credits (2-General, 1-IPM) for renewal of their license.
