Donna Edwards retired in 2012 after more than 30 years of service to the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Bosque County.  It is a privilege to recognize her dedication and service to the community and the Central Texas Youth Fair.

In October of 1981, Donna began her career as a Family and Consumer Science Agent (FCS) for the Extension Service.  Donna has devoted many years of service to the community.  She has advised the Central Texas Youth Fair Board, supervised Bosque County’s 4-H home economics programs, and educated the community on family and consumer topics through countless programs and events. 

Donna was the Assistant Superintendant to the Home Economics department for 30 years and the Chair of the Cash Bake Sale for 1 year.  She is credited with initiating the “Best of Division” and “Best of Show Award.”  Throughout the years Donna has also worked diligently to secure donors for these awards.

This year, the Central Texas Youth Fair is proud to present Donna with the Volunteer Award.  She has brought life to many community endeavors.  We recognize her with admiration and gratitude for her valuable contributions and dedicated service.
