Did you know that the 4-H Youth Development Program in Bosque County offers 12 different projects for youth to participate? Each project offers the kids a chance to learn new skills, practice those skills and then put them to the test at competitions with kids from all over Texas. 4-H teaches leadership, responsibility, service and citizenship through project experiences.
The projects offered in Bosque County 4-H are:
- Archery
- Clothing & Fashion
- Consumer Decision Making
- Foods & Nutrition
- Horse
- Junior Master Gardeners
- Leadership
- Livestock
- Photography
- Public Speaking
- Range Science & Plant Identification
- Rifle
4-H is also a great way to invest in the future. Bosque County has six senior members who graduated from high school this year. Together, these six students were awarded over $80,000 in scholarships that are directly related to their 4-H projects and participation. What a great way to begin a college career!
Enrollment for the 2014-2015 year is open! 4-H is open to youth in 3rd-12th grade, and the cost to enroll is $20 per student for the entire year.
