THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS SHOULD BE FOLLOWED CLOSELY.

TO PURCHASE STEER Validation Tags:

Ag Science Teachers:

1. All FFA students must register through you. Deadlines are firm.
2. All payments and a hard copy of the registration paperwork are due in the AgriLife office by April 7th at $15 per tag. Any additional tags ordered after this date will be $25 per tag. NO refunds.
3. No student checks will be accepted. Your one payment should be in the form of a school check. Make your check payable to “Bosque 4-H.” Payment must be received by April 7^th to get the $15 rate. Any additional tags ordered after this date will be $25 per tag.

4-H Students:

1. Register through the Bosque County AgriLife Extension. Your order is not valid until your payment is received. Send payment to Bosque AgriLife Extension, 104 S. Fuller, Meridian, TX 76634 so that it arrives by the deadline. NO refunds.
2. Make your check payable to “Bosque 4-H.” Payment must be received by April 7^th to get the $15 rate. Any additional tags ordered after this date will be $25 per tag.

All major livestock shows require all 4-H and FFA steers to be validated in the Texas 4-H/FFA Steer Validation Program and identified appropriately with an official Texas steer tag, nose print, hair sample and tattoo. All steers must be validated between June 1 and June 30, 2014 for 2014 fall shows and 2015 spring shows.

 It should be noted that validation is a proof of ownership as required by major livestock shows in Texas. It does NOT automatically enter exhibitors in a major livestock show or county show.
